Out of the dusty archives of 87 year old, Dr. Bob Spitzer, comes unseen footage of Virginia Satir traveling and teaching in the U.S.S.R. in 1988. LB Johnson was approached to edit this rare footage and finally bring it out to the world. Virginia Satir, is regarded as the 'Mother of Family Therapy' and her career spanned over 45 years. Rather than placing her focus on illness it was based on personal growth. Her work of 'Becoming More Fully Human' was concerned with the healing of each individual by connecting with a universal life force. She continually planted seeds of hope toward world peace and was increasingly in demand all over the United States and abroad at the time of her death later in 1988.
